| Title: Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act of 2010 Implementation | |

Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the Coast Guard's passenger vessel regulations to implement the Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act of 2010 (CVSSA). It would clarify definitions, update existing regulations, and propose performance standards to comply with the CVSSA. This rulemaking would also propose to implement requirements from the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act, including automated external defibrillator carriage requirements. This rulemaking would promote the Coast Guard's maritime safety and security missions. |
