Title: ●Vessel Entrance and Clearance System (VECS)  
Abstract:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposes to amend the CBP regulations to require an electronic transmittal of certain vessel entry and clearance data to CBP, unless certain exceptions apply, to implement the Vessel Entrance and Clearance Automation Test. CBP is also proposing to amend the regulations to allow for the electronic transmittal of certain vessel arrival data and requests to CBP, and to streamline the vessel manifest, entry, coastwise procedure, and clearance regulations to reflect current vessel processes more effectively.
