Title: Inflation Adjustment for Transparency in College Tuition for Consumers  
Abstract:

The HEA directs the Secretary to make available, using the College Navigator website, a set of lists describing college affordability. Institutions are exempt from inclusion on any list and the associated reporting requirement if the dollar amount of the increase is less than $600 during a three-year period; however, the Department will use the Consumer Price Index to update this $600 amount for inflation. The Secretary plans to update this amount for inflation.
