Abstract: DOE is conducting a rulemaking for alternative efficiency determination methods and alternate rating methods to revise and expand its existing regulations governing the use of particular methods as alternatives to testing for the purposes of certifying compliance with the applicable energy conservation standards and the reporting of related ratings for certain consumer products and commercial and industrial equipment covered by energy conservation standards.
