| Title: Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products: Test Procedures for Conventional Ovens | |
|
Abstract:
DOE is revising its test procedures for conventional cooking products to address induction cooking. Based on comments from interested parties in response to the NOPR, DOE is proceeded with an SNOPR to conduct additional analyses and research to address these comments. As part of this SNOPR, DOE considered additional test procedure amendments for gas cooking products with higher burner input rates which were previously excluded from standards due to a lack of data upon which to determine the measurement of energy efficiency for these products. DOE issued a final rule amending its test procedures for conventional ovens. DOE plans to consider test procedures for cooking tops in a separate rulemaking. |
