Title: Standards for Commercial and Industrial Air Compressors  
Abstract:

DOE is in the process of determining whether commercial and industrial compressors, both air and gas, meet the criteria for covered equipment under part A-1 of title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended.  In this rulemaking DOE is also considering establishing energy conservation standards for commercial and industrial air compressors.  As part of this effort, DOE is soliciting comment and data from the public on a variety of issues related to the setting of standards for this equipment.  The conservation standards for gas compressors was split from this rulemaking (RIN 1904-AD40).
