DOE/EE RIN: 1904-AD65 Publication ID: Fall 2016
Title: Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Direct Heating Equipment
Abstract:

The Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 (EPCA), as amended, prescribes energy conservation standards for various consumer products and certain commercial and industrial equipment, including direct heating equipment (DHE). EPCA also requires the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to periodically determine whether more-stringent, amended standards would be technologically feasible and economically justified, and would save a significant amount of energy. DOE is conducting this rulemaking to determine whether more stringent DHE standards would be economically justified. DOE will consider any comments, data, and information received in making its determination.
