Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is weighing whether (and how) to revise its test procedures for Walk-In Coolers and Walk-In Freezers as authorized under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, as amended (EPCA).  This action is required pursuant to EPCA's requirement that DOE review its test procedures for industrial equipment at least once every seven years. DOE is also proposing to make related changes to its compliance certification and enforcement requirements consistent with the proposed changes to its test procedures.
