| Title: ●Test Procedures for Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pump Motors | |
|
Abstract:
DOE is considering test procedures for dedicated-purpose pool pump motors, which are listed as a type of equipment for which DOE is authorized to set test procedures. On August 7, 2017, DOE published a final rule in the Federal Register to establish new test procedures for dedicated-purpose pool pumps. These test procedures did not directly address the motors used in dedicated-purpose pool pumps. Interested stakeholders have encouraged DOE to initiate a working group to specifically address dedicated-purpose pool pump motors that can be used in replacement applications. Therefore, DOE is gathering data and information that could lead to the consideration of test procedures for dedicated-purpose pool pump motors. |
