| Title: Energy Conservation Standards for Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pump Motors | |
|
Abstract:
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering establishing energy conservation standards for dedicated-purpose pool pump motors, which is a type of electric motor. On July 29, 2021, DOE established test procedures for dedicated-purpose pool pump motors. DOE will pursue a rulemaking to analyze whether energy conservation standards for dedicated-purpose pool pump motors are technologically feasible and economically justified, and whether such standards would result in significant energy savings. |
