| Title: Test Procedures for Portable Electric Spas | |
|
Abstract:
In accordance with 42 U.S.C. 6293(b)(1)(B), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) may prescribe test procedures for any consumer product classified as a covered product under section 42 U.S.C. 6292. Currently, portable electric spas are not subject to DOE test procedures or energy conservation standards. Through this rulemaking, DOE proposes to establish definitions, a test procedure, and sampling requirements for portable electric spas. The proposed test method also references the relevant industry test standard. |
