| Title: Contractor Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites | |
| Abstract: DOE is revising the current requirements for its contractors to establish and implement a workplace substance abuse program. The revised requirements will deal with the prohibition on the use, possession, sale, distribution, or manufacture of illegal drugs; education and training; testing of certain employees in sensitive positions; employee assistance; removal, discipline, treatment, and rehabilitation of employees; and notification to DOE. The revised rule provides for drug testing for contractor employees in, and applicants for, designated positions at sites owned or operated by DOE. | |
