| Title: Regulations for Gray and Black Water Discharges From Cruise Ships Operating in Certain Alaskan Waters | |
| Abstract: On December 12, 2000, Congress passed HR 4577 which contains a section called "Certain Alaskan Cruise Ship Operations" (Title XIV). Title XIV establishes enforceable discharge standards for sewage and gray water from large cruise ships operating in Alaskan waters and authorizes EPA to develop revised and/or additional standards for these discharges into the waters of Alaska, the Alexander Archipelago, and the Kachemak Bay National Marine Estuarine Research Reserve. EPA no longer intends to develop and propose revised and/or additional standards. | |
