Title: ●Withdrawal of Federal Water Quality Criteria Applicable to Washington 
Abstract:

EPA is proposing to withdraw the 146 Clean Water Act (CWA) section 303(c) human health criteria (HHC) that it previously promulgated at 40 CFR 131.45 for waters in Washington state. Since EPA’s promulgation, the state of Washington adopted and submitted for EPA’s review HHC identical to the Federal HHC, which EPA then approved. Therefore, these federal criteria are no longer applicable for CWA purposes and a withdrawal is appropriate.
