Title: NESHAP for Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Boilers and Process Heaters 
Abstract: The Clean Air Act, as amended 1990, requires EPA to develop emission standards for sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). Industrial boilers, institutional/commercial boilers, and process heaters are among the potential source categories to be regulated under Section 112 of the CAA. Emissions of HAPs will be addressed by this rulemaking for both new and existing sources. EPA promulgated an NSPS for these source categories in 1987 and 1990. The standards for the NESHAP are to be technology-based and are to require the maximum achievable control technology (MACT) as described in Section 112 of the CAA. This standard is part of the Industrial Combustion Coordinated Rulemaking.
