Title: ●Change to the Reporting Date for Certain Data Elements Required Under the Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Rule
Abstract: On October 30, 2009, EPA finalized the Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Rule, which requires sources in certain industrial sectors above certain threshold levels to monitor and report their GHG information. Under the GHG Reporting Program, sources must report their 2010 emissions by September 30, 2011. EPA is taking action to defer certain reporting requirements through an interim final action and a concurrent proposal and subsequent final action. EPA proposes to defer the date that entities report certain data to EPA until March 31, 2014. In the interim final rule, EPA defers the date of reporting of some of these data on a short-term basis. These actions do not change any other requirements of the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (40 CFR Part 98) including the requirement that reporters continuously maintain accurate records of these and all other data.
