| Title: The Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient (SAFE) Vehicles Rule for Model Years 2021-2026 Passenger Cars and Light Trucks | |
|
Abstract:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed rules to adjust the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions standards for model years (MYs) 2021 through 2026 light-duty vehicles. EPA established national GHG emissions standards under the Clean Air Act that extend through 2025. This rulemaking proposed adjustments to those standards, following conclusion of the Mid-Term Evaluation (MTE) process and EPA's Final Determination that it is appropriate to adjust the MY22-25 GHG emission standards. |
