The EPA is proposing amendments to the General Conformity Regulations, last updated in 2010 and codified at 40 CFR part 93 subpart B, to clarify or correct certain definitions and provisions that are out-of-date or that could benefit from further clarification. The public will have an opportunity to provide comments during the public comment period. To ensure awareness of the upcoming proposal, the EPA provided information to Tribes on a National Tribal Air Association monthly call. Additionally, upon signature, the EPA will distribute information about the proposal and how to comment through emails to interested parties, including Tribes and communities with environmental justice concerns.
