Title: National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Brick and Structural Clay Products Manufacturing; and Clay Ceramics Manufacturing(Completion of a Section 610 Review)
Abstract:

On October 26, 2015, the EPA published a final rule to amend the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Brick and Structural Clay Products (BSCP) Manufacturing and Clay Ceramics Manufacturing (40 CFR part 63, subpart JJJJJ and subpart KKKKK respectively) to finalize maximum achievable control technology (MACT) standards for mercury, non-mercury metal HAP (or particulate matter (PM) as a surrogate), dioxins/furans (Clay Ceramics only), health-based standards for acid gas HAP; and work practice standards, where applicable. On March 31, 2025, the EPA announced its review of the October 26, 2015, action pursuant to section 610 of the Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. 610) to determine if the provisions that could affect small entities should be maintained, rescinded, or amended to minimize adverse economic impacts on small entities (90 FR 14227).
