Title: Chromium Electroplating Technology Review 
Abstract:

The NESHAP for Hard and Decorative Chromium Electroplating and Chromium Anodizing Tanks (part 63, subpart N) was initially published in the Federal Register on January 25, 1995. The most recent amendments to the NESHAP, which were based on the CAA section 112 mandated risk and technology review (RTR), were proposed on October 21, 2010 (75 FR 65068), a supplemental notice of the proposed rulemaking was issued on February 8, 2012 (77 FR 6629) and final amendments were proposed on September 19, 2012 (77 FR 58220). This action will explore new developments in technologies, practices and processes to reduce chromium HAP emissions from chromium electroplating, area and major sources pursuant to section 112(d)(6) of the CAA.
