Title: ●Extension of Deadlines in Standards of Performance for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources: Oil and Natural Gas Sector Climate Review
Abstract:

On March 8, 2024, the EPA finalized new source performance standards (NSPS) regulating greenhouse gases and volatile organic compounds emissions from the Crude Oil and Natural Gas source category pursuant to the Clean Air Act. The EPA also finalized emission guidelines under the Clean Air Act for states to follow in developing, submitting, and implementing state plans to establish performance standards to limit greenhouse gas emissions from existing sources (designated facilities) in the Crude Oil and Natural Gas source category. With this action, the EPA plans to extend certain compliance dates and deadlines in the final NSPS and Emission Guidelines.
