Title: ●Initiation of Sunset Dates to Covered Regulations  
Abstract:

The EPA is issuing a direct final rule to amend certain regulations by inserting a conditional sunset date in accordance Executive Order 14270. Specifically, the conditional sunset date for impacted regulations promulgated under the Noise Control Act of 1972 (as amended by the Quiet Communities Act of 1978) and also for impacted regulations promulgated under the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990. The direct final rule provides that, unless extended and subject to an opportunity for public comment, the impacted regulations will no longer be effective after 1 year.
