Title: Public Availability of Information; Freedom of Information Act
Abstract: This rulemaking would revise and republish its regulations implementing the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552 (FOIA). The purpose for this revision is to update the regulations to be consistent with amendments to FOIA that were signed into law on December 31, 2007, revise DOT´s fee schedule and other charges, and make provisions clearer and easier to locate. The regulations are being republished because of numerous changes to the organization and headings (e.g., the headings are now in the form of questions).
