Title: ●Revisions to Denied Boarding Compensation, Domestic Baggage Liability Limits, and Maximum Civil Penalty 
Abstract:

In accordance with 14 CFR 250.5(e), this final rule raises the maximum denied boarding compensation (DBC) amounts that have been in effect since August 2011 from $650 to $675 and from $1300 to $1350. In accordance with 14 CFR 254.6, this final rule raises the minimum liability limit air carriers may impose for mishandled baggage in domestic air transportation, from $3400 to $3500. Pursuant to 14 CFR 383.1(b), this final rule raises the maximum civil penalty for violations of section 41712 and consumer protection rules and orders by small businesses and individuals from $2,500 to $2,750.
