| Title: ●Enhancing Flexibility of Air Fare Price Advertising | |
|
Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the Department’s full fare rule” to allow airlines and ticket agents greater flexibility in how they advertise air fares. The current rule requires the full fare, including government taxes and fees, to be displayed in the advertised price of air transportation and prohibits the disclosure of government taxes and fees more prominently or in the same or larger size than the total price. This rule would eliminate overly prescriptive requirements which prevent airlines from highlighting government taxes on air transportation. |
