| Title: ●Amendments to Procedures in Regulating and Enforcing Unfair and Deceptive Practices | |
|
Abstract:
This rulemaking would amend the regulations regarding the hearing procedures that are available when the Department proposes a discretionary aviation consumer protection rulemaking declaring a practice to be unfair or deceptive. It would also amend the regulations regarding the enforcement procedures that are available if the Department’s Office of Aviation Consumer Protection takes enforcement action against an airline or ticket agent. These amendments would reflect the Department’s view that interested parties have ample opportunity to be heard in both rulemaking and enforcement actions. |
