Title: ●Explosive Siting for Commercial Launch Sites
Abstract: This rulemaking would revise the safe separation distance requirements for planning the configuration of a commercial launch site. These revisions would align the safe separation distance with the Department of Defense, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Compressed Gas Association (CGA) standards. This action is necessary to update 14 CFR sec 420.65 to 420.69 with current industry practices, to codify specific industry standards that apply to launch activities, and to correct minor inconsistencies in the current rule.
