| Title: Training Center Modernization | |
|
Abstract:
FAA proposes to amend regulations relating to training centers and associated special rules. FAA seeks to standardize terminology, resolve misconceptions, and update outdated terms. Key proposals include requirements for training manuals, extended instructor observation intervals, mandated trainee prerequisites, clarified instructor training requirements, increased instruction hours, and specific rules for training methods and equipment usage. FAA intends to ensure that training centers use only approved aircraft and features like freeze, slow motion, or repositioning in Flight Simulation Training Devices. |
