| Title: ●National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Standards and Requirements - Buy America Standard for Electric Vehicle Chargers | |
|
Abstract:
This rulemaking would propose to modify the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Standards and Requirements, at 23 CFR part 680, by adding a Buy America standard for electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Except where noted in the rule, the rule at 23 CFR 680 applies to projects funded under the NEVI Formula Program and projects for the construction of publicly accessible EV chargers that are funded with funds made available under Title 23, United States Code, including any EV charging infrastructure project funded with Federal funds that is treated as a project on a Federal-aid highway. This includes funding under the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) grant program authorized at 23 U.S.C. 151(f) and the 10 percent of NEVI Formula funding set aside for grants to States and local governments that require additional assistance to strategically deploy EV charging infrastructure. |
