Abstract:
This rulemaking would respond to petitions for reconsideration of the January 2025 final rule establishing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for the safety integrity of hydrogen vehicles and compressed hydrogen storage systems. NHTSA received petitions for reconsideration of the final rule from Hexagon Agility, Toyota Motor North America Inc., and Newhouse Technology, LLC. The petitioners’ requested technical clarifications and minor updates to the regulatory text to improve practicability and objectivity of the performance tests. |
