Abstract:
This rulemaking is intended to streamline and modernize FRA regulations governing grade crossing and signal and train control systems to reflect current systems and products as well as updated design, manufacturing and testing methods; to incorporate long-standing waivers; to address testing, inspection, and maintenance requirements for signal equipment in dark territory; and to incorporate methods for elongating periodic test and inspection frequency for grade crossing and signal and train control equipment. |
