Abstract:

The purpose of this rule is to provide for a safe and secure work environment for U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and State Maritime Academy cadets assigned to a vessel for training or educational purposes and to provide for the operation of a safe and efficient United States Merchant Marine through the prevention of and response to prohibited behavior such as sexual assault and harassment of any kind.
