| Title: ●Agency Agreements and Appointment of Agents | |
|
Abstract:
This rulemaking will provide procedures governing the process for the identification and selection of eligible general agents who will manage or otherwise conduct the business of one or more vessels owned, controlled or time-chartered by the United States as a service provider or ship manager. This rule will update General Agent related Parts 315-326, 328-339 to modernize MARAD's administration of general agents and as part of a larger effort to streamline the greater collection of regulations under 46 U.S.C. Subchapter I-A, National Shipping Authority. The rule will eliminate 13 parts in the 46 CFR containing static and obsolete contract terms and old administrative processes. |
