Abstract:
This rulemaking will be used to address (1) provisions of the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR; 49 CFR Parts 171-180) that impose undue burdens on domestic energy resources, that conflict with applicable law or policy, or that lack an adequate cost-benefit justification; (2) appropriate action to repeal or amend any such provisions; and (3) codification of requirements in the HMR to conduct subsequent regulatory reviews at a specified interval. |
