Title: ●Review of Environmental Regulations 
Abstract:

The Board has regulations implementing environmental laws, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), at 49 CFR part 1105. On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued Executive Order (EO) 14154, Unleashing American Energy, which directed the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) to propose rescinding CEQ’s regulations implementing NEPA and to provide guidance to agencies on implementing NEPA. CEQ published an Interim Final Rule (IFR) on February 25, 2025, in response to this direction, and the IFR became effective on April 11, 2025. 90 FR 10,610. Chairman Fuchs intends for the agency to fully comply with EO 14154, and--in light of the EO and CEQ’s IFR--the agency is reviewing the Board’s regulations implementing NEPA.
