| Title: ●Eliminating Unnecessary Regulatory Constraints in Financing Assisted Living and Board and Care Facilities (FR-6554) | |
|
Abstract:
This proposed rule would amend HUD’s program requirements under FHA’s Section 232 and 223(f) purchase and refinance programs to update Healthcare underwriting standards. Additionally, this proposed rule would remove the bathroom requirement in the Section 232 program, which requires a specific number of full bathrooms per resident and dictates the configuration and location of the bathrooms in the facilities. The removal of the full bathroom requirement would eliminate unnecessary financial burdens for owners and is a matter best suited for state and local governments. |
