| Title: ●Streamlining of HUD's Environmental Regulations (FR-6538) | |
|
Abstract:
This proposed rule would revise HUD’s regulations at 24 CFR parts 50 and 58 to update and streamline HUD’s requirements for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), incorporate relevant provisions of the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023, and make adjustments based on the removal of the Council on Environmental Quality’s NEPA-implementing regulations. The proposed rule is intended to assist in prioritizing efficiency in providing HUD assistance and reducing costs associated with HUD’s environmental review process to eliminate unnecessary regulatory burdens that impede affordable housing. |
