Title: Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program Regulation Amendments 
Abstract:

The Federal Home Loan Bank Act requires each Federal Home Loan Bank to establish an Affordable Housing Program (AHP) to subsidize the purchase, rehabilitation, and construction of affordable rental and owner-occupied housing. 12 U.S.C. 1430(j). FHFA plans to amend the AHP regulation to streamline certain requirements and expand access to AHP programs. Revisions may include updating AHP regulatory provisions for revolving loan funds, updating the AHP application process, assessing options for AMI flexibility in high-cost areas, increasing per household homeownership set-aside grants in high-cost areas, and revising certain project compliance and monitoring requirements to increase programmatic efficiency.
