FHFA RIN: 2590-AB49 Publication ID: Spring 2025
Title: Executive Compensation Amendments
Abstract:

The proposed rule is withdrawn.  The proposed rule would have amended FHFA’s existing Executive Compensation rule, 12 CFR part 1230, to incorporate interpretations and guidance FHFA has provided to its regulated entities since the rule was initially adopted in 2014.  The proposed rule would have proposed definitions of such terms as similar businesses, bonus, and senior executive and additions to the rule’s listed factors the Director may consider when determining whether proposed compensation is not reasonable and comparable.  The proposed rule would have also made minor, technical corrections to one or more rule provisions.
