| Title: Detection and Avoidance of Counterfeit Parts | |

Abstract:
NASA is proposing to amend the NFS Supplement to implement section 823 of NASA Transition Authorization of 2017 (Pub. L. 115-10) to improve the detection and avoidance of counterfeit electronic parts in the supply chain. This proposed rule will add a contract clause to the NFS to require each covered contractor, including a subcontractor, to detect and avoid the inclusion of any counterfeit parts in electronic parts or products that contain electronic parts and to take corrective actions necessary to remedy or inclusion. |
