Title: Accrued Benefits and Special Rules Applicable Upon Death of a Beneficiary 
Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is reorganizing and rewriting in plain language provisions applicable to accrued benefits and special rules applicable upon death of a beneficiary. These revisions are a part of VA's rewrite and reorganization of all of its compensation and pension rules in a logical, claimant-focused, and user-friendly format. The intended effect of the revisions is to assist claimants, beneficiaries, and VA personnel in locating and understanding these rules.
