Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is amending is adjudication regulations to establish a presumption of service connection for osteoporosis for former Prisoners of War (POW’s). This amendment is necessary to implement a decision by the Secretary to establish such a presumption based on scientific studies.
