| Abstract: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its regulations governing inventions by employees of VA to provide the three Under Secretaries with authority over inventions in their respective Administrations, and the General Counsel with authority over inventions for all VA. These proposed amendments would place programmatic authority within the respective Administrations or the Office of General Counsel, given flexibility to VA officials to further delegate responsibilities, and bring VA's regulations into compliance with applicable Department of Commerce authorities. | |
