Title: Loan Guaranty: Limited Denial of Participation  
Abstract:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend the Limited Denial of Participation regulations to clarify VA's authority with regard to limited denials of participation (LDPs). VA relies on these regulations to impose LDPs, temporary VA-specific sanctions, on parties who do not comply with VA Home Loan Guaranty program requirements. However, these regulations do not clearly articulate the full extent of the Secretary's authority to impose this sanction and ensure compliance with VA laws. This rulemaking was withdrawn to further examine policy issues and develop the rulemaking accordingly.
