| Title: Schedule for Rating Disabilities--Mental Disorders | |
|
Abstract:
This interim final rule will change the reference from DSM-IV to DSM-5 in 38 CFR 4.125(a). This proposal amends VA's adjudication regulations to conform to the DSM-5, the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. This change replaces the reference to previous editions of the manual with reference to the DSM-5. No changes to the evaluation criteria are made in this rule. This amendment will improve the quality and timeliness of the processing of Veterans' claims for benefits and appeals. |
