| Title: ●Updates to Increase Access to and Strengthen Oversight of Medical Foster Homes | |
|
Abstract:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its medical regulations governing community residential care and medical foster homes. The rule would strengthen protections for veterans residing in these settings by enhancing oversight of individuals who provide services in such facilities. It would also expand participation in the medical foster home program by removing or waiving certain requirements that have proven unnecessarily restrictive. These revisions aim to increase veteran access to medical foster homes while maintaining robust safety standards. |
