| Title: Amend and Clarify Reconsideration and Deletion of Items From the Procurement List | |
|
Abstract:
The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (Committee), which administers the AbilityOne Program, will clarify and amend the Committee’s ability to delete requirements from the Procurement List and to reconsider a commodity or service that was added to the Procurement List when the Committee has reason to believe the requirement is no longer suitable or the basis for the original suitability determination has substantially changed. This proposed amendment will allow the Committee to more effectively manage the Procurement List by authorizing the Committee, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, to reconsider or delete requirements that are no longer being procured, are being procured in insufficient and uneconomical quantities, or are being otherwise underutilized and no longer in the best interests of the AbilityOne Program to maintain as a mandatory purchase for Federal entities. |
