| Title: Amendments to Swap Data Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements for Cleared Swaps | |
|
Abstract:
Staff solicited and reviewed public input on possible revisions to part 45 that could increase efficiencies in reporting cleared swap data and mitigate the burden on market participants. The Commission issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) seeking appropriate revisions to part 45 to clarify reporting obligations on entities involved in various aspects of cleared swap transactions. The Commission reviewed comments received from market participants, and adopted regulatory text as proposed in the NPRM. As markets, market participants, and trading conventions adapt to the swap data recordkeeping and reporting requirements under part 45, staff will review these requirements to ensure that they continue to fulfill their regulatory objectives in light of the evolving swaps marketplace. |
