| Title: Third Party Accreditation for Baby Bouncers and Walker-Jumpers (Stationary Activity Centers) | |
| Abstract: Section 102(a) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), Public Law 110-314, 122 Stat. 3016 (August 14, 2008), requires the Commission to publish notice of requirements for the accreditation of third party conformity assessment bodies (laboratories) to assess conformity with the standard for baby bouncers and walker-jumpers (stationary activity centers) by March 12, 2009. The Commission is considering whether to revoke 16 CFR 1500.18(a)(6) and 1500.86(a)(4), but will defer this action until the ASTM standards for bouncer and walker-jumpers (stationary activity centers) have been made mandatory under section 104 of the CPSIA. | |
