| Abstract: The Commission is considering issuing a rule interpreting the meaning of "children's product" as used in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), Public Law 110-314 (August 14, 2008). On April 20, 2010, a proposed interpretive rule regarding the interpretation of "children's product" was published in the Federal Register. (75 FR 20533). The comment period closed on June 21, 2010. Staff sent a briefing package for a final interpretive rule to the Commission on August 25, 2010. | |
